Understory Crafternoon: Seed Bombs

Join us to make wildflower seed bombs and get into guerilla gardening! We will combine recycled paper pulp and a hodge-podge of seeds to create cute clusters which are easy and safe to plant. Make plenty to scatter (in approved areas :)) and start beautifying your neighborhood. This is a free event & suitable for most ages. Supplies, seeds and basic guidance will be provided.

Local History Trivia Contest with Breck History

Join in the fun of the 250-150 "Sesquisemiquincentennial", marking 250 years of American independence and 150 years of Colorado statehood! How well do you know the history of Summit County and Colorado? Breckenridge History and South Branch Library challenge you to come prove it! And yes, there will be prizes! Experienced meditators sit for unguided silent sessions of increasing lengths, with optional sharing of experience after each session. “In Silence” cards provided for those choosing to remain silent for the evening. Please enter through the Hopefull door, down the stairs in the middle of the south side of the building, as library doors will lock at 6pm.

What did they find underneath the Breckenridge Grand Vacations Community Center and South Branch Library when 103 S. Harris was renovated in 2013-15? Join us to create our own relief prints by recycling empty coffee bags! While the multi-layered packaging of coffee beans can be difficult to properly recycle, it provides a great surface to scratch and engrave designs into, allowing us to make our own basic printing plates. Let the creativity flow! No print-making experience is required. This is a free event & suitable for most ages. Supplies and basic guidance will be provided.
