Join Dennis Stroughmatt to learn about the history of the French colonists, the dialects they still speak, and the unique music they still perform. Through story and song on a “Creole Fiddle”, audiences will have fun learning how the French of “The Illinois Country” serve almost as a time capsule for their cousins to the north and south. This program is made possible by a generous grant from The Illinois Humanities Road Scholars Speakers Bureau.
